Each year, the PGA TOUR’s Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches golf tournament attracts over 200,000 visitors and over $40 million in economic impact for Palm Beach County. The PGA TOUR’s charitable arm has benefited Palm Beach County immensely. In 2023, our county’s PGA TOUR event (formerly The Honda Classic) provided a record $7.2 million to local charities. A total of $68.9 million has been distributed since the inception of the golf tournament. Vice Mayor Maria G. Marino was pleased to see that Pratt & Whitney returned as the Official Military Appreciation Partner of the Cognizant Classic of the Palm Beaches. This year’s program included Military Appreciation Day on February 29th as well as complimentary daily ground tickets with access to a dedicated hospitality venue for military members and their families.
