At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Oct. 3, 2023, Commissioner Marino presented a proclamation declaring October 2023 as National Energy Awareness Month in Palm Beach County. Reliable, affordable energy is vital to our economic prosperity, and energy efficiency is the most productive and cost-effective way to meet our energy needs as cutting energy waste saves U.S. consumers billions of dollars on their utility bills annually. The county’s HVAC Replacement Program and Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program contribute to energy efficiency for residents.
