​After a pause in the program due to the Covid-19 pandemic, high school students interested in the exciting world of aviation-related careers convened for Careers in Aviation Day at Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA). Attendees learned about airport operations, safety procedures and facility plans for the future. Additionally, students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from state universities including Florida Memorial and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical about college programs, and also learned about technical positions and careers not requiring an advanced degree.
Commissioner Marino joined several of her commission colleagues and PBIA officials to welcome students representing three area high schools to the event.
