On June 13, 2023, Palm Beach County Mayor Gregg K. Weiss presented a proclamation declaring June 15, 2023, as Dump the Pump Day in Palm Beach County.
Recognizing public transit's critical role in transporting essential workers, reducing traffic congestion and creating cleaner air, the American Public Transportation Association brings hundreds of transit providers together annually to raise awareness and encourage everyone to “dump the pump."
To support the initiative, between June 10 and 17, Palm Tran is offering free rides with the promo code "TryTransit" in its Paradise Pass app.
