At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Dec. 6, 2022, Mayor Gregg K. Weiss presented a certificate of recognition to Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden.
The Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization established in 1983, in support of the development and expansion of the Mounts Botanical Garden originally a 3.5-acre horse pasture. With the work of the Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden, the garden has grown to 16 acres and is Palm Beach County's oldest and largest botanical garden displaying more than 6,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants.
