PBC Board of County Commissioners Allocates Funds to Community Based Agencies

On June 14, 2022, Commissioner Maria G. Marino along with fellow county commissioners conceptually approved a $2,208,000 annual allocation for its Youth Services Department in the action areas of Health and Wellness, Safety and Justice, and Social and Emotional Learning from October 1, 2022, to September 20, 2025.

The department's Youth Master Plan has identified these action areas as priorities, which include evidence-based/promising programming measures with outcomes. The final contracts with each action area agency will be presented to the board after contract negotiations are complete.
