​On May 12, Commissioner Marino joined members of the Community Services Department’s Division of Senior and Veteran Services and the Aging Network at the North County Senior Center to present a proclamation declaring May 2021 as Older Americans Month in Palm Beach County.

The occasion celebrates the strength of older adults, with special emphasis on the power of connection and engagements in building strong communities.  

The Division of Senior and Veteran Services administers programs and services designed to promote healthier lifestyles and independent living.  They provide a continuum of care to help older adults live in the least restrictive yet most cost-effective environment suitable to their needs.  Together with Aging Network, the Division assists elderly persons through case management and in-home services connecting them with other people, which plays a vital role in the health and well-being of our seniors.
