The Administrative Review & Public Information (AR/PI) Section is responsible for reviewing administrative applications and oversees the general public information function of the Division.
Type of applications and services provided by this Section are:
- Planner On-Call/Customer walk-ins requesting general information
- DRO – Administrative Amendments: Agency Review and Zoning Review
- Variances: Type IA and IB
- Special Permits
- Zoning Confirmation Letters
- Maintain the Zoning ezINFO and Web Information
Planner On-Call office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but is closed on Wednesday to walk-in customers. Planners in the On-Call office are available to assist the public with general zoning related questions requiring approximately 15 minutes or less. If, however, additional time is needed for more complex issues, we suggest the customer arrange a future date with a Planner for a one on one meeting.
Minor amendments to DRO approved site plans and subdivision plans may be processed through Agency Review and Zoning Review every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 9:00 AM, on a first come first serve basis (exception 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of each month there is no intake). The applicant must sign in with the receptionist in the Zoning Division prior to the noon deadline, on the day of intake.
Applications for Type IA and IB variances are submitted to the section the first Tuesday of each month and are reviewed by staff and other relevant County agencies. A staff report and recommendation is prepared by staff and provided to the applicant approximately one week prior to the administrative meeting.
Special Permits and Zoning Confirmation Letters are submitted to the Section on a regularly scheduled weekly deadline and reviewed and processed by staff. |
