ECOSYSTEMS of PALM BEACH COUNTY

Leaves seem to crunch underfoot as you walk by Clyde Butcher's life-size image of a hardwood hammock. Completed in the spring of 2003, this exciting exhibit presents an overview of the three major ecosystems found in Palm Beach County.

Each is unique, yet interconnected, as you will discover through hands-on activities, live animal exhibits and colorful displays.

OBSERVATION ROOM
Live animal exhibits fill this peaceful room. Stroll along enjoying glimpses into the marine world, the mysterious realm of our snakes and be careful not to startle our feathered friends. Can you guess who they are?

Don't forget to relax and enjoy nature at the viewing window; it overlooks bird feeders, a pond and our outdoor classroom.

DISCOVERY ZONE - INCREDIBLE INSECTS
Buzz on in and check out our newest Discovery Zone where you’ll be amazed at these Incredible Insects. Learn about tunneling termites, meddling mosquitoes, beautiful butterflies, and many more. No insect repellent needed for this buggy adventure!
