On August 20th, Commissioner Bob Kanjian joined with other community leaders to symbolically hammer the old Lake Worth Bridge in order to make way for many new waterfront improvements.  Demolition of the old bridge is scheduled to start in the spring of 2009.  When the project is completed, the improvements will include a 500-foot boardwalk, a gazebo, four floating finger docks and a 567 foot fishing pier.
