Commissioner Kanjian Tours New EcoCentre As A “Living Building” Concept in Lake Worth
August 27, 2008 At the invitation of Attorney John Romano, Commissioner Bob Kanjian recently toured his new law office building located in Lake Worth at 1005 Lake Avenue just west of Federal Highway. Named the EcoCentre, it is a Green “Living Building.” John Romano explained his vision by saying, “I realized it’s not enough to just recycle, not to litter and love the outdoors. Businesses and community leaders need to enhance the environment. This is how the vision for the EcoCentre, the Living Building started.” Commissioner Kanjian’s interest in the EcoCentre stems from his leadership position in County government as the Chairman of the County’s newly established Green Task Force on Environmental Sustainability and Conservation. John Romano noted that he plans to apply for LEED building certification. # # #
