Palm Tran Buses Promote Anti-Violence Message

Commissioner Burt Aaronson attended a press conference on August 12 where the Criminal Justice Commission unveiled five new Palm Tran bus displays featuring the winning posters of the CJC’s “Prevent Youth Violence” design contest.

The student’s artwork is being featured on 24 different Palm Tran buses traveling on multiple routes across the county, which will be displayed throughout the year. The designs were created by South Tech students Carl Ceance, Danielle Post, Javon Jones, Samantha Rivera and Dairon Giovany Arroyave.

The contest is part of the CJC’s “Saving The Youths’ Lives Everywhere” (or S.T.Y.L.E.) Super Group, which attracts about 60 to 70 students from Palm Beach County middle and high schools. S.T.Y.L.E. members focus on building leadership skills, youth empowerment, and reducing youth violence.
