I am proud to welcome you to the Criminal Justice Commission's extraordinary web site. This site will inform you about the Criminal Justice Commission, its committees, initiatives, and the criminal justice system in Palm Beach County. The Criminal Justice Commission is unique in the world of criminal justice because of the involvement of private sector business leaders. The Board of County Commissioners created the Criminal Justice Commission as a partnership between 21 public and 12 private sector members to improve the local criminal justice system. The Board gave the Criminal Justice Commission a broad scope of authority to coordinate all aspects of the local, state and federal criminal justice system in the County. The Criminal Justice Commission's accomplishments come from building consensus and involving all agencies affected by a particular issue in developing remedies. The Criminal Justice Commission operates through committees because its members understand that in order to succeed, everyone must feel a part of the solution. The ownership resulting from participating is an invaluable asset that brings with it pride and satisfaction.
