Vice Mayor Weinroth announced today that the Board of County Commissioners has approved a Code
Enforcement Lien Amnesty Program for residential and nonresidential property owners located in
unincorporated Palm Beach County.
“This program provides our stakeholders with an opportunity to resolve their code enforcement issues and
obtain a clear title that will allow them to refinance or sell their properties,” said Weinroth.
The county has over 1,000 outstanding code enforcement liens on residential and nonresidential
properties who will be notified by mail and other means. The program will run from October 1, 2021 to
November 30, 2021.
In order for a property owner/lienholder to participate in the program, the property must be in
compliance with all county codes to have 100% of the outstanding lien balance forgiven. In addition to
other conditions and/or requirements, the application needs to be filed before November 30, 2021 with a
nonrefundable $250 application fee.
